Smiling woman in a sweater standing outside

Lee is an experienced journalist, editor, podcaster and storyteller. Currently she is assistant managing editor with the ABA Journal, the premiere legal magazine in the country. She is the host of the ABA Journal's award-winning Modern Law Library podcast and co-host of the Legal Service Corps’ Talk Justice podcast. As the child of two attorneys, she’s been listening to lawyers since birth.

Background

Proud Midwesterner who loves the prairies. A graduate of the University of Illinois and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Experienced in newspaper, magazine, newsletter and digital publishing. Reads court opinions in her downtime.

Prior to her journalism career, Lee worked as a weekend baker, a child care provider and a bookseller. Her interests are broad and her reading habits are voracious. She’d love to tell you the story of Nikolai Valilov and the Leningrad seed bank.

She’s forever grateful to the Dow Jones News Fund for awarding her a Dow Jones News Fund Editing Summer Internship. Blame them for her position on the Oxford comma.

I care about the people who fight for the rights of others. Tell me what your dream is for the profession, how we should be training the next gen lawyers, and how we can achieve access to justice for all.
